Founders of the nIc Foundation 

 

Lynn E. Marcks is the mother of Nicolas Resch and the founder and CEO of the nIc Foundation. Lynn is an educator who has worked with students from the Early Childhood to College/University levels.  She has served as a Classroom Teacher, Music Specialist, Building Principal, Director of Instruction, and Educational Consultant.  Lynn has provided professional development training opportunities for educators, parents, and community organizations in Wisconsin and in Ohio and has served as a national presenter at conferences presented by the International Reading Association; the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics; the National Association for the Education of Young Children; and the National Association for Gifted Children.   

 

Steven P. Marcks serves as the Treasurer and a Board Member of the nIc Foundation.  Working in the business field, Steve brings his expertise to the foundation in establishing business partnerships and sponsors to support the violence prevention educational initiative.  As a father, Steve believes that positive parenting through modeling, spending time with your children, and asking children the right questions is essential in developing children with positive character traits and values. Steve serves as a co-presenter with Lynn speaking both locally and nationally about violence prevention strategies.
